Maja 7th (Pronounced Major), born Michael Chamberlain, grew up in a small suburban town just north of Indianapolis, IN where urban musical influences were few and far between. Although this was the case, at a young age Maja 7th stumbled across the B.E.T show rap city playing the Wu-tang classic “Cream”. Maja had already been a fan of acts like LL COOL J ,Special ED and others but “Cream” made the biggest impact. He immediately fell in love with the WU and became a devoted fan of not only of the Wu Tang, but of hiphop. Maja 7th went on to attend Ball State University to earn a Bachelors degree in Music and Communications. This is where he first met Jerome Jordan and Kenny Cook. Through their common taste for music the three formed the hiphop group KM2, with Maja 7th manning the production duties. The group suffered the typical trials and tribulations of aspiring musicians and eventually dissolved. But those relationships and experiences helped mold Maja 7th into the award winning producer he is today. Fast forward to 2009 and Maja 7th has captivated audiences, and formed new relationships to produce a lions share of such projects as Pete Sayke’s “Cubicle Rebellion”, become a key producer for the The Almighty album, “Original Sin -Strength In Numbers”, consisting of Wu-tang affiliate, Killah Priest, along with Bronze Nazareth, M-Eighty, Son-one, Crayz Walz and 5 Star, and become the 2007 iStandard Producer Showcase Chicago champion under his former title, “Maestro”. Maja 7th’s talent, and drive has established him as a sought after musician.
