Producer/Composer/Songwriter/Engineer Devon Simpson alter ego D Menyce is swiftly making a name for himself as a producer to be recognized. D Menyce combines together numerous elements of rock, pop, calypso, reggae, hip hop, house, along with harmonious synths and hevy bass melodies to create a sound that is entirely and undoubtedly his and his alone. D Menyce post production interest was introudced to him by his father's friend ( Mr. Lee a house music artist from the 90's signed to Jive Records) which helped him develop his ear at an early age but it also created his biggest problem, being a perfectionist. However, This problem benefited his course of action due to the fact that he never disregards even the most nominal of problems. When D Menyce began networking and spreading his music The feedback he received encouraged him to take his endowment to the next level, the music industry.
D Menyce was born of Belizian decent due to his mother and his father was from the states. He grew up listening to a lot of reggae and soulful music. As a child his father use to take him with him to his shows to watch they're reggae band play. Shortly afterward, D Menyce created his first house track at the age of eight and this was just the beginning for this prodigious individual. At the age of twelve he began to produce for local talent creating demo's and show tapes. As he got older and progressed he then began adding live instruments to his tracks which redefined his sound making him a hot commodity in the neighborhood. Everybody wanted tracks from him even those that never purchased a track b4 was willing to spend money.
Through word of mouth D Menyce heard of the iStandard Producers Showcase. He entered and to his surprise won for the night. D Menyce is currently working through his company Champion Music Ent. As the youngest member of the previous Beat Doctorz (Produced for Shawnna, Bobby Valentino, Young Berg, and Lumidee) D has some big shoes to fill. As short as this may seem this is just the prologue.
