.........................True innovators defy easy categorization and The Breaks are the ultimate innovators. Their ability to move easily between musical styles and blend and bend genres into creative new forms will make them the some of the hottest producers in the Hip-Hop community. The 4 man team consisting of DJ Markie B. "aka" Wiskey Tango, Freddy "Boom Bap" Washington, The Fungus and Steven Rockwell began making a name for themselves in the Boston underground Hip-Hop scene during the mid 1990's producing tracks for Akrobatik (Fat Beats), L.F.O. (Aritsa), New Edition (MCA), Eastcide (DRP), HBO's Blaze Battle (Blaze/Vibe Magazine), Soul Squad (Sektion 8)& and more... Unfortunately Hip-Hop fell off and The Breaks went into seclusion to mourn the loss. Once Hip-Hop began to return to it's gritty street roots, The Breaks immediately gave chase to their creative muse following it all over the musical landscape. This has landed them two placements with Universal's multi-platinum recording artist NELLY. Now armed with a new studio (Studio 57), the crew is back to bring their signature brand of music to the masses.........................
