[Beat Tapes] Nolan The Ninja: “Crud” & “$ud$”

Michael Stover [istandard news], beat tape Leave a Comment

Detroit’s Nolan The Ninja is one of my favorite emcees, however my introduction to him was through some of the beat tapes he’d drop and I still feel he’s underrated on that front. A couple weeks ago he released a dual beat tape in “Crud” & “$ud$”.

The former is Nolan paying homage to the 90’s rap and production that he grew up on and is inspired by. “$ud$” on the other hand shows where Nolan’s production is headed as we push on. Still inspired by the head knocking, back breaking boom bap, but is a more precise and clean recording. Peep both below and keep it locked on iStandard as we’ll be interviewing Nolan the Ninja soon.
