Now’s actually one of the best times to be alive as someone who loves listening to beats. We’re seeing influences from all over the place. I could be tripping but Alchemist seemed to really open the gates for really getting your hands dirty, digging and not being afraid to experiment with all types of sounds in and out of the region. Kentucky producer 2Mello is of the same ilk, except he’s using the nostalgia of the past to fuel his latest project.

Who remembers Jet Set Radio? An evident cult classic Jet Set Radio had some of the best music in a video game to date in my opinion. Now what if I told you 2Mello has constructed an entire passion project around the music from JSR? Well that’s exactly what’s happening as 2Mello prepares to release “Memories Of Tokyo-To: An Ode To Jet Set Radio”. I don’t want to spoil too much, but I am allowed to give you all a little teaser in “Tag Walls, Punch Fascists”. 2Mello says that he wanted to create a mini-DJ mix with this single while keeping the energy that flows through the entire project. You can peep the joint below and if you missed the last two singles you can peep them HERE & HERE.

"Memories Of Tokyo-To: An Ode To Jet Set Radio” drops February 20th and you can pre-order the record HERE.
